For Your Information

·         Sulphur Ninth grade campus will hold an open house for students and their parents on Tuesday, September 7. Both should report to the gym at 6:30 p.m. for a general session followed by a visit to students’ third hour advisory classes.

·         Anyone interested in joining the wrestling team this year....There will be a registration meeting next Tuesday, September 7th in the SHS Main Campus Auditorium @ 6:00 pm.  A PARENT MUST ATTEND FOR YOU TO JOIN THE TEAM.

·         The Calcasieu School Counselors’ Association, Calcasieu Parish School Board and McNeese State University will hold the Imperial Calcasieu College and Career Fair from 6-8 PM on Monday, September 13, 2010 in the McNeese Recreation Complex.  The purpose of the seminar is to acquaint students with colleges, universities, armed services, careers, and employment opportunities available to them.  Information on academic scholarships, work-study, and other financial aid programs will be available.  The fair is for 8th – 12th grade students in public, private, parochial, and homeschoolers from all area parishes.  Parents are urged to attend with their students.  You can pre-register at www.lacollegefairs.com.

               

Club Announcements

·         French Club applications are in Madame LeBrun's room. Students may join until September 10th.

·         FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Students) will start our Wednesday morning meetings next week!  Meet in the girl’s gym Wednesday at 7:20 am for donuts and devotional.  Anyone is welcome to come see what it is all about!!  

·         Key Club applications are outside the front office.  Last day to join is September 30th.  The next meeting will be Thursday, September 16th in the 9th Grade Cafeteria at 6:30 pm.  This month’s service will be walks to prevent suicide on September 11th …. See Mrs. Malone to sign up. Key Club students need to pick up an informational sheet outside the front office
